Communications education at Penn State started with humble beginnings. In the early 1910s, the University offered just a few classes in journalism, advertising and wireless telegraphy — no departments, no majors. Over the next century, those courses would evolve into the globally recognized, nationally ranked Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications. In this episode of COMMversations, resident historians and emeritus professors John Nichols and Patrick Parsons share the College’s remarkable journey from a modest collection of courses to one of the leading communications colleges in the country.
